Sorry, my juxtaposition. It was a just off the north shore of the James and became part of the NORTH shore. It is on the 1809/10 Map of Richmond east of 14th Street. Chappel's Island is the first, then Wildwilt's Fishery. They're shown clearly separated from the mainland and are later part of it due to infilling in between.
