John E. Poindexter and Isabel Cottrell were married in early 1880. In 1900
they were living in Johnson Co. TX. John was a cattle raiser. They were
still in Johnson Co. in 1920 when John was described as a retired ranch man.

In 1879, "exceedingly offensive" behavior towards a lady leads to a
confrontation and "point of honor" that leaves a shoe salesman murdered.
Discover the rest of the story found in the Richmond coroners' inquisitions
in today's Out of the Box.
