Basil,

Virginians are reluctant to celebrate the birthday of a Great American. They 
are also reluctant to apologize for slavery. What truth is deduced from 
these facts?

Who is speaking for the African-Virginians whose freedom was made possible 
(directly or indirectly) by Abraham Lincoln?
