But on the TV show they scroll Falls Church Virginia on the screen when
they show their headquarters. It is fiction after all. (And I don't
recognize the building they show)

According to their website, the Navy JAG facilities are at the
Washington Navy Yard, but a show that I did not mention, E-Ring, was set
at The Pentagon in VA.

Dear Clifford:

Thanks for jogging the old memory! JAG the TV show was set at the
Pentagon I believe.

Don't forget the recent stream of novels, movies (and TV series) on Cold
War/national security/crime themes, beginning (at least) with Tom
Clancy's
The Hunt for Red October(1984) . As I recall, it was partially set at
Atlantic Fleet HQ in Norfolk. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunt_for_Red_October

Novels, movies, and TV shows dealing with the CIA may be partially set
at HQ in Langley, and possibly the training base -- "The Farm" -- at
Camp
Peary. Ditto for the FBI at Quantico. Recent/current TV shows
include
The Agency (CIA), The X-Files (FBI), and Criminal Minds (FBI).
