Today's Mug Shot Monday continues the examination of the "Hillsville
Massacre." For his part in the shooting, Sidna Allen was sentenced to
thirty-five years in the penitentiary on the charges of first, second,
and third degree murder. After serving a portion of his sentence, Allen
was considered "an excellent prisoner" and granted a conditional pardon
in 1926.
