P.S. To find other titles concerning the French and Indian War in the
Library of Congress catalog, go to http://catalog.loc.gov, select Basic
Search, and enter the following text string into the search box:

United States History French and Indian War, 1755-1763

Then click "Subject Browse," and you'll be taken to a link to all the
titles with that subject heading. Assuming you can't come to the
Library of Congress personally, many of these works should be available
from your local library through Interlibrary Loan.

At least one contemporary published account of the French and Indian
War is also available online in the American Memory collection American
Notes: Travels in America, 1750-1920
(http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/lhtnhtml/lhtnhome.html):  it's the book
Two Journals of Western Tours, by Charles [Christian] Frederick Post:

@field(NUMBER+@od1(lhbtn+th001_0174)).

There must be wonderful things in the Library of Virginia as well, but
I'll defer to others' expertise for more information on that score. . .
.

Best--
