Jeffery --

On what factual basis do you justify as a historian describing Sally
Hemmings as being of a low and sleazy character? Because she was a
slave? That is absurd, and a contradiction of the known facts. And on
what basis do you believe her to be repugnantly filthy and squalid?
Just as I said, when you strip away the provocative offensive
language you see the paucity of scholarship. Research is, or at least
should aspire to be, based on data not attitude.
