I read with interest the inquiry about John Armstrong
Chanler on the website on October 21, 2005.

A Chanler descendant of Reverend John Chanler -- also
an ancestor of John Armstrong Chanler -- recently took
the DNA test of the Chandler DNA Project registered at
<www.FamilyTreeDNA.com> (FTDNA). The testee DID NOT
match any Chandler family that has tested, of which
about 100 men have received their results and appear
to represent 7 to 11 distinctly different Chandler
families.

I am still interested in seeing the EVIDENCE that the
Chanler name was originally Chaloner.

Thanks.
