Herbert, it is just as likely that the Jefferson did it crowd will be proved 
at some point to be the holders of "the truth". Let's let science catch up 
to our curiosity and settle the issue. At some point in the near future, it 
may be possible to test anyone who asserts descendence from Jefferson to be 
able to establish that claim. Science moves quickly - think how recent the 
use of DNA has become in crime forensics or geneology.

Until such time as I see evidence that THIS oral tradition is in error, I am 
willing to accept is as THE TRUTH. If you choose otherwise, then it is time 
to agree to disagree, Herb, and let the list go back to its other purposes.
