Registration Deadline Approaches to Attend Slatten Lecture onSeptember 20 at Library of Virginia


Join the Friends of the VirginiaState Archives on Saturday, September 20, 2014, to welcome Pamela Boyer Sayre, cg, cgl, as speaker at the 15th annualRichard Slatten Lecture to be held in cooperation with and at the Library ofVirginia. Sayre, a popular seminar presenter who has spoken at genealogyconferences and seminars in thirty-three states, will deliver four lectures that focus on exploring sources anddiscovering resources-both "techy" and traditional-for familyhistorians who want to know the real stories of their ancestors.  Learn how to find and use eBooks forgenealogical research, discuss a step-by-step approach for judging the varioustypes of information found on the Internet, and learn through two cases studieshow multiple resources solve family puzzles.
