Everyone,

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, 13 August 2002, at noon at the Library of
Virginia in Historic Downtown Richmond for a book talk featuring

Noah Andre Trudeau discussing his new book, Gettysburg: A Testing of
Courage.

Trudeau is an award-winning author of Civil War histories, including Bloody
Roads South: The Wilderness to Cold Harbor, May-June 1864; The Last Citadel:
Petersburg, Virginia, June 1864-April 1865; Out of the Storm: The End of the
Civil War, April-June 1865; and Like Men of War: Black Troops in the Civil
War, 1862-1865.

Trudeau is also a Senior Producer of Cultural Programming at National Public
Radio and has been the mainstay behind "NPR Playhouse." He also has a deep
interest in film soundtracks, and his annual assessment of the soundtracks
nominated for Oscars has become a popular feature on NPR.

Free parking is available in the Library's underground parking deck for this
special event. You are invited to bring a lunch; free soft drinks will be
available.

For more information, please contact the Library of Virginia at (804)
692-3592.

See you there.

John
