Henry,

I just spoke to a colleague who worked at the Museum of the Marine Corps. They recommend contacting the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlyle, PA and possibly the U.S. Army Center for Military History.

Subject: [VA-HIST] WWII

My father, age 96, was a B-17 gunner at age 19 bombing Nazi Germany in 1945 with the US Army Air Force flying out of Polebrook, England. He's in a nursing home in Massachusetts. His memory is clear but fading. Does anyone know if there is a Pentagon program to visit and interview WWII veterans.
Aren't many of them left.
Henry Wiencek
