The Library of Virginia is pleased to announce that we have joined The
Commons on Flickr.

Our first post consists of 200 images from the Adolph B. Rice Photograph
Collection. A prolific photographer and active member of the Virginia
Professional Photographers Association, Rice maintained a commercial
studio in Richmond for more than a decade. The photo collection consists
of over 16,000 images of studio portraits, aerial and street views of
Richmond, local events, and advertising shots for area department
stores.

View the collection here: http://www.flickr.com/commons/ Read more about
us and the project here:

Our Flickr project complements a new exhibition, Richmond by Rice, which
runs from October 6, 2008, through January 3, 2009, at the Library of
Virginia.
Located at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond, the Library is
open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
