Hello everyone,

I wanted to alert you all to some fascinating research on one of the Civil War's mysterious African American women. New research has been found on Mary Louveste. Records have been found that paint a more complex picture and humanize this woman compared to a fictional persona created of her years ago and has been passed down through the years.

Here is a link to the web version of the story: https://www.pilotonline.com/history/vp-db-mary-cwspy-new-info-022121-20210221-23v2v3ztsjb25p2epxg6l4k2zm-story.html

Sincerely,

Troy
