Good morning everyone,

I want to invite you to hear about Hampton Roads region has a rich legacy of Roots music spanning many styles including gospel, blues, and early rockabilly. Artists from the region were nationally important pioneers of trademark American sounds such as vocal quartets-think gospel and doo wop-and the origins of Rock.

Dr. Gregg Kimball will present a multimedia presentation featuring rare photographs and period recordings highlighting some the region's major stars and the region's most important musical contributions.
