From the beginning of time until World War ll, the attendance of a midwife
at the birth of each new community member was a near-universal experience,
although one rarely acknowledged today. Join us in person at the Library as
Virginia Humanities Research Fellow D'Anne Graham talks about the Virginia
midwives she has discovered in her research and how their experience
informs access to midwifery today. For more information, contact Elizabeth
Klaczynski at [log in to unmask] or 804.692.3536.
