No one is criticizing the staff. We love the staff and appreciate what they do. It is the budget process within the Department of Education where the dictates come from and LVA has little leeway with the way the agency's budget is structured.
People need to write not only to the governor (residents and non-residents) but also to our state senators and delegates in the General Assembly (Va residents). You can easily find out who they are on the G. A.'s website using your address. Write to them particularly at their home address in their districts as well as their Richmond address. It is absurd that out of the few staff position cut across the board, that 16 were at LVA!!
Squeaky wheels often get oiled! The Assembly session starts in January - only two months away!
