On this day, one hundred years ago, Virginia's Governor signed into law the Act to Preserve Racial Integrity, also known as the Racial Integrity Act of 1924. This ignominious legislation was a roadmap for other Jim Crow Southern states and Nazi Germany. Today's The UncommonWealth discusses the men, organizations, and ideology instrumental in codifying white supremacy in the commonwealth.
