You might also want to contact the Veterans History Project at the Library of
Congress, which is currently collecting interviews, manuscripts, and other
materials to document "stories of service."

The contact information is as follows:
e-mail: [log in to unmask]
phone: (202) 707-4916
fax: (202) 252-2046
surface mail: Veterans History Project, Library of Congress, 101 Independence
Avenue, SE, Washington, D.C. 20540-4615

For anyone else interested, the VHP has a "Project Instruction Kit" that
contains more on the project itself, suggests how to conduct an oral history
interview, and tips for preserving interviews and documents. The VHP covers all
wars from WWI to the Persian Gulf, and includes soliders and civilians, front
line and home front, men and women.
