Hello all,
A researcher contacted me trying to locate photographs of the Sandlick area
of Dickenson County during the 1977 flood. She is trying to find flood
pictures of Sandlick Primitive Baptist Church, in particular, as the Army
Corps of Engineers is relocating residents and businesses from the area.
We do not have any photographs of this particular area during the flood at
the Library of Virginia, but I was hoping someone on this list might have a
suggestion of other places for her to check.
She has checked with the following so far:
--Local paper (it was bought out and the images were given to the local
historical society and they told her they were unable to put their hands on
the images as they just moved)
--Local library (they found a book that they requested through ILL for the
woman to check)
--Local Chamber of Commerce
Any leads will be appreciated!
