Virginia teachers might be interested in learning that Mount Vernon is
sponsoring a free "weekend with George Washington" at Mount Vernon from Friday
October 10 to Sunday October 12. I will be the "scholar in residence" but
there will be a number of other presenters and a chance for hands on
history. Most sessions will be held at the new Fred W. Smith Library. More
information is available on Mount Vernon's website under "Upcoming Events."
