Richmond's Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church Historian Benjamin Ross  
will present a talk entitled "The River Is a Sacred Place" in  
partnership with the James River Advisory Council at The American  
Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar in Richmond, Virginia on July  
12, 2012 at 6 pm.  The event is free and will highlight the life and  
work of the Reverend John Jasper (1812-1901), and also celebrate the  
James River as a place of spiritual relevance.  This is part of the  
James River Advisory Council's "Forgotten History Lecture Series."
