Greetings!

Professor William G. Thomas will be at the Library of Virginia tomorrow (May 18th) to talk about his new book "The Iron Way: Railroads, the Civil War and the Making of Modern America." His book brings new evidence to bear on railroads, the Confederate South, slavery, and the Civil War era, based on groundbreaking research in digitized sources never available before.

The book talk is free and begins at noon. A book signing will follow the talk.

Celebrate your Friday and join us at the Library of Virginia!

Hope to see you there!
