Thought some might be interested in this. Allegany Co is in Maryland but
the trading post was across the Potomac in what is now Ridgeley, WV, but
was once part of Virginia. Not sure if during that time it was Hampshire
County, VA, or still part of Frederick County, VA.

Should be an interesting reenactment for those researching or interested in
this timeframe of history. Plus I think they have restored a C&O canal boat
there and much more.
