Pamela Boyer Sayre to Speak at Slatten Lecture on September 20 at Library of Virginia
Join the Friends of the Virginia State Archives on Saturday, September 20, 2014, to welcome Pamela Boyer Sayre, cg, cgl, as speaker at the 15th annual Richard Slatten Lecture to be held in cooperation with and at the Library of Virginia. Sayre, a popular seminar presenter who has spoken at genealogy conferences and seminars in thirty-three states, will deliver four lectures that focus on exploring sources and discovering resources-both "techy" and traditional-for family historians who want to know the real stories of their ancestors. Learn how to find and use eBooks for genealogical research, discuss a step-by-step approach for judging the various types of information found on the Internet, and learn through two cases studies how multiple resources solve family puzzles.
