At least for the Northern Neck counties, there are some tabulations in my book, Accommodating Revolutions: Virginia's Northern Neck in an Era of Transformations, 1760-1810.

Subject: [VA-HIST] Economic data?

Is Main's list of the 100 wealthiest Virginians still considered usable? Or is the data too old?

I'm also wondering if there are recent tabulations of average slaveholdings and landholdings in Virginia in the late 1700s and early 1800s.

Many thanks,

Henry Wiencek
