Hi, Karen,
The omission of a space between the URL and the word "This" at the
beginning of the next sentence makes it impossible to click and go to the
website that you gave in your email below. It might be a problem for some
people, and you might want to resend the email with the space in place.
It was not a problem for me. I took a quick glance and am looking
forward to having a couple of hours when I can sit and examine the
information online. Great work!

Subject: [VA-HIST] The Lincolnarchives Digital Project

> Announcing the Lincolnarchives Digital Project, located at
> http://www.lincolnarchives.usThis digital project was launched in 2002.
> The
> goal of the project is to digitize all federal records housed at the
> National
> Archives and Records Administration which were created between March 4,
> 1861
> through April 15, 1865. There are a few exceptions. Shortly after the
> Election
> of 1860 letters started coming in from office seekers looking for
> situations in
> the new government. These are being digized. At the other end, all
> records
> relating to the assassination of Lincoln, the capture, confinement and
> execution
> of the conspirators, the capture, and imprisonment of Jefferson Davis, and
> finally the capture and trial of John Surratt will be included. This
