The processing and indexing of the Craig County and Pulaski County chancery
causes were recently completed. The archivists who processed the collections
picked a few of the many interesting cases and images to share with our blog
readers. One case shows the tensions that develop when whiskey is distilled a
little too close to an iron works. Another shows an African American in Virginia
leaving the state to obtain an education at the start of the Great Migration.
