Our Virginia colleague Barbara Vines Little has been elected as the fifth fellow of the Virginia Genealogical Society. This is a very prestigious honor, and she joins the ranks of such renowned contributors to Virginia history and genealogy as Robert Young "Bob" Clay, Wesley E. "Wes" Pippinger, John Frederick "Fred" Dorman, and Netti Schreiner-Yantis. You can read more about this at Dick Eastman's daily on-line newsletter at:

I can think of no more deserving recipient of this prestigious honor than Barbara Vines Little, whom I style the Affable Giant of Virginia Genealogy. With her trade-mark hat, background as a real-life teacher and never-dull presentations, she truly stands among the best of the best in our field. Congratulations, Barbara!
