Late in the morning on 21 April 2010, an electronic transformer in
downtown Richmond failed, and one of the consequences was damage to the
server that runs the Library of Virginia's Web site. Our folks have got
parts of the site back online because they have access to a backup
version of the site, but users may find that some of the clicks and
databases will remain slow or disfunctional until the server can be
repaired or replaced. As of now, I understand that we don't know when
that will be. Patience is in order.
