Reliquary's thirty-first issue has been posted.

You are invited to view and download the latest edition of Prince
William Reliquary, a quarterly genealogical and historical magazine for
Prince William County, Virginia.  To view it requires version 7.0 of

Contents of the July 2009 issue include:

*        Prince William Moonshine, by Charlotte Cain.  The history of a
popular local pastime.

*        Will of George Chapman Found in a Chancery Case, by Beverly
Veness.  Probated in 1829, this document from the owner of Chapman's
(Beverley) Mill has long been missing from a vandalized will book.

*        Missing Court Order Book Pages Recovered, by Scott Parham.
Another folio from Court Minute Book 1778-1784 has turned up.  Includes
an item identifying a Revolutionary soldier.

*        Susan Rogers Morton, by Beverly Veness and Don Wilson.  A
biographical sketch of the leader of the W.P.A. in Prince William
County.

*        Dumfries District Court Land Causes (cont.), by William
Balderson.  Conclusion of LOVE v. EWELL.  Beginning of Bernard EWELL v.
John GRAHAM (1783), re ownership of two mills.  Includes a lost deed
(1752) and unrecorded lease.  Identifies EWELL's daughter Marian and her
husband Rev. Thomas THORNTON.

*        A Revolutionary Soldier's Marriage Record.  A paper found at
the Prince William court house documents the marriage of Aaron MONDAY to
Ann SINCLAIR (1798).

*        Mystery Face.  A young man in a bow tie, who was photographed
in Alexandria, Virginia, in the 1920s.  Found among the PADGETT family
papers.

you.  Backfiles can be searched on Google using keyword(s) plus
'Reliquary.'  Name indexes to volumes 1 through 6 are now posted online,
as well as a topical guide to the first 29 issues.
