Have you checked the Catholic Church histories of the US at this time
period. How about the History Depts. at Notre Dame, Boston College, St.
Edwards, Austin, St. Mary's in San Antonio, the Arch-Diocese near Alabama
A&M.

Subject: anti-catholicism in Virginia
Can anyone recommend sources on Virginians' attitudes toward Roman Catholics
ca. 1840-1870? I've already looked at Fogarty's Commonwealth Catholicism.
Thanks,
