Though not based in the south, the National Safety Insurance and Trust Company
of Philadelphia was used by slave owners to insure their slaves. The company
went out of business in 1860-1861. Does any one know if the company's records
exist, or how I might locate them if in fact they do exist?

Mitch Lichtenberg
