Please join the American University History Department for a free
lecture on Wednesday, March 5, at 6 p.m. in the Battelle-Tompkins Atrium
on AU's Campus (see campus map, link below). The speaker will be
Richard Dressner, Ph.D., Associate Director of Development for George
Washington's Mount Vernon. The topic is "Saving Mount Vernon: The Birth
of Preservation in America." A reception will follow.
