I am forwarding this reply to the Mary Ball Washington Museum and
Library in Lancaster, Virginia (Lancaster County) where I am a
volunteer, attention to myself. I'll be in there on Saturday. We
have a file on Menokin, the historic property, and several articles
about it and its restoration. You can search our on-line catalog at

mbwm.org

click on "search on line catalog" and type in the word "menokin" and
several items will appear. If you will, please send an email to my
attention about this topic.

In a broader sense, I urge everyone on this list interested in
Northern Neck history and genealogy to bookmark our the MBW web site.
We have an amazing collection of Northern Neck items, and very
impressive collection of Virginia history, county records, and
biographies. Currently, there are about 4,300 items in the on-line
catalog which is only about one half of our collection. We welcome
queries that are geared to a specific research question. We are most
strongly focused on the Northern Neck Counties of Lancaster,
Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland, with emphasis also on
Middlesex and Essex Counties. But that is by no means the extent of
our collection. The search engine will accept any combination of words.
