Last evening in Richmond at the Library of Virginia, Dr. Jon Kukla delivered an excellent talk entitled "Privileges Transmitted to Posterity: Jamestown, Patrick Henry, and the Revolution." If you missed this opportunity to hear Dr. Kukla speak on a subject with which he is very familiar, do not dispair because he will reprise the talk at Charlotte Court House on Saturday, April 28 at 3:00 pm. You will be interested to hear some fresh insights on Patrick Henry, including the influence that Patriot Richard Bland of Prince George County had on him. The connection that Patrick Henry made between Jamestown and the Revolution is illuminating as well. Dr. Kukla is the vice president of the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation and author of many books and articles, including his newest book to be released this fall on Jefferson and the women in his life.
