Tom,

Have you discarded any application of "academic freedom"? Do you have a 
working definition of "bias", or is a matter of "I know it when I see it", 
which is, in fact, just another form of bias.

The problem with judging "bias" is that biases that are in agreement with 
the "bias" of the admin are considered OK, while "biases" that are in 
another direction are considere not OK. That is why the concept of "tenure" 
was created - so that teachers (or college professors) would have the 
freedom to explore ideas rather than merely regurgitate them.
