As some of you know, I do a website for Famous Americans including a
page for Famous Virginians. I am always on the look-out for someone new
I can include. Chris Baker seems to fill the bill.
Other than the blog, is there other information available online about
Chris Baker? Is there a photo available of him?
Last winter I read "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca
Skloot. In the book, it discusses the perception of the African-American
community in Baltimore about the "doctors" from Johns-Hopkins who were
said to roam the night streets snatching bodies for research. Sounds
like there could be similarities between the activities of Chris Baker
and his standing in the African -American local community with those
described for Baltimore.
Feel free to write to me via email if you have any additional
information on Chris Baker. Maybe I can have the page ready for
Halloween, but it will be an interesting additions to African-Americans
to have for Black History Month!
Thanks for any leads,
Anne
