Subscribers to Va-Hist and to Va-Roots will perhaps want to know about
these cuts even if nobody will welcome them.

Subject: Budget cuts affecting Tennessee history
The state of Tennessee is poised to make significant cuts to the hours
of operation and staffing at the Tennessee State Library and Archives
(TSLA) in Nashville. I have outlined the details and suggested actions
to take at my blog: http://wp.me/pZTs3-hc <http://wp.me/pZTs3-hc>
Although many H-South members may not be Tennessee residents, these
changes will affect anyone who studies the state's history by making it
more difficult to use TSLA's resources. I encourage you to make your
voices heard.
Cordially,
Mark
