You are correct, it is now ROMNEY MANOR. I even have pictures of the church
and the graves of Samuel Jeaffreson and Sir Thomas Warner under a cover near
the church.

Thank you for the information that you provided. The guide was so positive
about the connection, and in my years of study on Virginia history I never
heard that story, therefore I was looking for some documentation. But I
guess it is a good story for the tourist that visit the island.
He further stated that Mr. Jefferson owned Romney Manor which still stands,
to some extent.
