The Library of Virginia is pleased to announce the opening of a major
exhibition, "From Williamsburg to Wills's Creek: The Fry-Jefferson Map
of Virginia," in the main exhibition gallery adjacent to the lobby of
the Library of Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond.

The exhibition features approximately 40 original maps and drawings that
document the compilation and influence of the map that Joshua Fry and
Peter Jefferson produced in the 1750s.

The exhibition is free and open to the public during normal Library
business hours, from 9:00 o'clock to 5:00 o'clock, Monday through
Saturday, state holidays excepted, through 20 December 2008. There is
free parking in the basement of the library.

For more information on this and other services, exhibitions, and public
programs, please visit the Library of Virginia's Web site or call
804-692-3592.
