Thanks for the date. I seem to recall you having an index that is cross referenced to microfilm reels that have the certificates on them starting with 1912? Is that the case with this one? Thanks again!

We don't have access to the death certificate, but found the following in the Virginia statewide index to death certificates (microfilm reel 3.2):
PARSLEY, George A., died Richmond City, Mch. 21, 1919. 455-8833 [reference to the Dept. of Vital Statistic's book and entry number]

Subject: George A. Parsley
Can someone help by looking at the death certificates for a George A. Parsley who would have died between 1918-1920 probably in Goochland County?
His family was very prominent in Richmond having a Restaurant-Bar-Rooms in Shockoe Bottom for many years. George opened up a grocery store in Church Hill 1891 but sold it off by 1894 and went bankrupt in 1901. He married in 1892 to a Louise “Lula” B. Mason who died in 1952 and is buried at Forest Lawn in Richmond but George is not there.
Any help greatly appreciated. Hoping George’s middle name and birth somewhere around 1854 is also listed?
Thanks!
Eric
