On Saturday, March 21, 2015, the Library of Virginia and the Historic New Orleans Collection co-hosted a one-day, two-city symposium, To Be Sold: The American Slave Trade from Virginia to New Orleans. Morning sessions were held at the Library of Virginia in Richmond, and the afternoon sessions were at the HNOC.
Videos of the symposium are now available for viewing on the Library of Virginia's YouTube channel:

Funding for the symposium was provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Kevin Heraldo, of the University of Richmond, edited the videos.
Thanks to all who attended and made this incredible event--and the video recordings of it--possible!
