According to a current listing on EBay under the title Old Early 1766
William Pitt Stamp Act Button, a button bearing Pitt's likeness and name
was "dug in the Shenandoah Valley." Listing ends Wednesday if you want
to take a look.
Pitt of course was a hero to Americans in the 1760s and 70s and was honored
in Virginia by the naming of Pittsylvania County and the town of Chatham.
