In the processioning records of St. Paul's Parish several women are referred
to as Widdow. However the ancestor I am researching (Marg. Via) was not
referred to as Widdow.

What would the reason be for this? Did widow generally indicate a woman
who's children were raised?

Thank you,
Judy
