The Museum of the Confederacy seeks an experienced registrar to oversee
the documentation, condition reporting, legal rights, insurance, and
loan agreements pertaining to the museum's permanent collection. With
more than 15,000 objects, both military and civilian/domestic, and
30,000+ archival materials documenting the Confederate States of America
and its people - the Museum's collection is one of the largest public
collections of Confederate material culture in the world. The Registrar
reports to the Director of Collections and works closely with both
curatorial and archives colleagues. 
Qualifications: 
*	A bachelor's degree in art history, museum studies, and/or
related field, and at least two years of museum registration experience.

*	Experience working within the guidelines of AAM standards and
practices as they relate to collections management, exhibitions, ethics,
preservation, conservation, presentation, and risk management. 
*	Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite,
and familiarity working with collections management systems.
