The Virginia Newspaper Project is excited to report the addition of a current newspaper title. So far we have loaded 1928-1984 of The Smithfield Times with plans to add issues through 2010. You can find the title at the Library's online database, Virginia Chronicle<http://virginiachronicle.com/cgi-bin/virginia?a=cl&cl=CL1&sp=TSMT&e=-------en-20--1--txt-txIN------->.

As with the Recorder, the Rappahannock Record and the Southside Sentinel, it is thanks to the publisher, that we are able to present to you a near full run of an important Virginia imprint newspaper.
