Processing efforts to arrange and describe the executive papers of
Virginia's governors uncovered the papers of Gov. Andrew Jackson
Montague, 1902-1906. Montague's papers are unique in that they include
correspondence, broadsides, and other material related to his campaign
for a Senate seat. Clara Barton, Booker T. Washington, and Pres.
Theodore Roosevelt were among some of Montague's correspondents. See
today's blog entry for more on Montague's executive papers.
