I am going to try something different and hope that it is acceptable.
 
This morning I found several comments about the pledge of allegiance
that continue part of the discussion that we had yesterday and two
comments on secession that continue another part of the same discussion
that we had yesterday. I will now send two messages to the list. One
contains the pledge of allegiance comments and the other the secession
comments, both shorn of messages replied to and of the electronic noise
that comes with forwarding messages on the Internet. All messages are
complete as submitted.
