Join us for a panel discussion featuring Rosemary Clark Whitlock, author of the
new book, _The Monacan Indian Nation of Virginia: The Drums of Life_, along
with members of the Monacan Nation whose interviews are part of the book.
Co-sponsored by the Virginia Council on Indians in observance of National
American Indian Heritage Month.
Panel members include:
• Karenne Wood, Director, Virginia Indian Heritage Program, Virginia
Foundation for the Humanities; Member, Monacan Tribal Council
• Rosemary Clark Whitlock, Author, The Monacan Indian Nation of
Virginia: The Drums of Life
• Kenneth Branham, Chief of the Monacan Indian Nation
• Sharon Bryant, Member of the Monacan Tribal Council and the
Virginia Council on Indians
• Dean Branham, Member of the Monacan Tribal Council and Vice
President of Virginia Indian Tribal Alliance for Life (VITAL)
